DIY Project Cost (diyprojectcost.com) is built and operated from Malaysia for US homeowners who buy paint, bags, boards, and sheets at big-box stores. It is not a US corporation, not a contractor, and not an engineering firm. There is no PE stamp, no “20 years in Ohio remodeling,” and no invented office park.

The formulas, the labelled split between manufacturer round-up and calculator waste conventions, the 2026-08-27 Home Depot basket, and the worked examples (12×12 bedroom, 10×20 slab, 12×16 deck, 12×12 drywall room) are assembled on this site. Yields and opening sizes are cited to manufacturer PDFs and how-tos. Where a live national shelf price could not be verified — PT 5/4×6 decking and 2×8 joists — the price is null and user-editable.

What we are not

We are not Home Depot, Quikrete, USG, Trex, Sherwin-Williams, Behr, or NRMCA. We do not resell materials. We do not take file uploads or accounts. Advertising is not live; a marked HTML comment sits next to each result panel for a future AdSense unit after a consent manager exists.
